Vision

To embrace the beauty of womanhood, the strength of motherhood, without compromising the sanctity of marriage or religious belief. Giving opportunity to be heard in the midst of a chaotic world.

Mission

To assure that every female be given an opportunity for self expression without judgement. To encourage spiritual social and economical growth. Share in the development of life, family and career with higher education or career training in focus for a better future.

Purpose

Bringing women together in fellowship to strengthen those who are weak, clothe those who are naked and comfort those who mourn through engagement in activities that bring love, laughter and joy to the soul.

The Women’s Ministry is a new initiative birth out of the heart of Sis. Theressa Gaines who voiced that we needed something for women, so we could learn from each other and share our stories. These thoughts came to her during a Tuesday night bible study, June 9, 2020. Thus God has led me to now activate this burning desire in my heart to honor the life of the wife of the founding Bishop of Methodism, Sarah Allen. Thus the name, “The Daughters of Sarah”, will be a ministry for women of all ages. It compliments our Men’s Ministry, named after Bishop Allen, “The Sons of Allen”.

The daughters will meet monthly for a fellowship of friendly activities. Locations and events will vary based on the consenting desires of the majority. If the number of participants allow, there will be assigned monthly team leaders annually to rotate the responsibilities of planning our events. For now, the pastor, who is female will lead the group. This auxiliary is not to be confused with and does not replace the ministry of the WMS.

Meetings will be held on Thursday after First Sunday of each Month. Meetings can be by Zoom, Teleconference or in person. Event dates can be alternated to fit the desires of the women.
